Q: It's night time/raining/snowing but there are still skyBirds flying around.Ī: The birds will try to hide or build nests at night or in bad weather, but they might not be able to do so, depending on the game's timescale settings and availability of nesting sites etc. They will still make a noise if you collide with them or attack them, and they can still peck and scratch. It is night time/raining/snowing.Ī: I've programmed the birds to be silent at night time or if it is raining/snowing, and also if you are in combat. So I checked the author's description, and discovered there are behaviors programmed in that are influenced by weather: During the rainstorms (during which there was no freezing), I wasn't seeing the skyBirds birds flitting around. Whenever it was enabled, alongside the others or on its own, the freezing would happen. Re-enabling them one at a time, I narrowed it down to skyBirds. So I removed all animal-related mods-still no dice.Įxcept then I realized I was also seeing birds flitting around a lot, and that I hadn't tried disabling the 3 bird-related mods I have installed.

THEN I noticed a buck running by and the freezing seeming to happen approximate to that time.

I removed Climates of Tamriel as it was the only remaining light-related mod I could think of that could be affecting anything.

So at first I thought it must be some other light-related mod. I didn't make the connection until I noticed the freezing happening again today, but the difference was that the sun was out. Turns out the "solve" was the fact that a rainstorm had kicked in during my testing and the freezing stopped during that time. UPDATE: turns out, it wasn't RLO after all (though upon retrying it I noticed it was dragging my fps down quite noticeably, so I'm leaving it uninstalled).
